Deputy Commissioner, Mrs Aashika Jain has directed the departments catering to the residents visiting ‘Sarkar Aap De Dwar’ camps at villages each Tuesday and Friday, to ensure to aware the people minimum of 15 days ahead of the next camp.
Today, reviewing the Suvudha Camp held at Village Rassanheri in Kharar, Deputy Commissioner said that the purpose of these camps started from Village Bhankharpur of Derabassi across the state by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is to serve the people near their homes with various Citizen Services and Welfare Schemes. She said that it should be ensured that every department must inform the residents to keep handy the requisite documents in advance to dispose of their problems on the spot.
Besides, every department should enter the name of the resident who approached them in the camp with the village name and mobile number to follow up on whether his/her query was redressed or not. She also appealed to the general public to reap the maximum benefit of these camps that have all the departments under one roof to resolve their issues.
She said that the camps are being conducted in rural as well as urban areas by placing all the departments under one roof so that the residents do not need to visit government offices for their various works.
Local SHO Parivinkal Singh and Agricultural Development Officer Dr Gurdial Kumar informed the people who were present there, of the strict instructions of the National Green Tribunal and Apex Court to avoid setting on fire paddy straw. Rather, the crop residue should be managed through the Machinery available in their surroundings.
SDM Kharar Gurmander Singh apprised the Deputy Commissioner of the various citizen services and welfare schemes being provided in the camp.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the people to dial 1076, a toll-free number for doorstep delivery of 43 services notified by the Punjab Government.
